Automotive Tyre Fitting Course Qualification Description
This Automotive Tyre Fitting Course & Qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a range of tasks on tyres in the automotive retail, service and repair industry. We can cover Light Vehicle, Heavy Vehicle, and Agriculture tyre-fitting, plus offer a range of elective modules to suit your requirements.

Automotive Tyre Fitting Course Course Requirements
Certificate II has a delivery process of 1 day theory, 1 day practical and 1 day for a final assessment. There is a logbook process and a time frame (100 -300 hrs) of work required before a final assessment can be taken. There is a process to follow if any work hours have previously been completed, to count towards their total hours (evidence/proof required by government legislation).
Total number of units = 14
4 core units + 10 elective units, of which:
- All units in one of the Specialist Elective Groups A to D below must be chosen
- Of the remaining units required to make up the elective unit total – all 7 may be from the Specialist Elective Groups and general elective units listed
below - Of the remaining units required to make up the elective unit total – up to 3 may be from a Certificate I qualification or above in this Training Package or
another endorsed Training Package or accredited course.
Elective units chosen must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the overall integrity of the AQF alignment, not duplicate the outcome of another unit chosen for the qualification, and contribute to a valid vocational outcome.
